Shopping and book expo

Hello~

I've been busy also this week. On wednesday I went to do little shopping with my sister. She was looking for luggage to our London trip. We first visited verkkokauppa.com, there were two nice options but my sister didn't buy anything. I bought new headphones for my computer and some ink for printer. Why is it always me who ends up buying something even though we didn't go shopping because I needed something xD
We also visited couple other shops but didn't find any luggages fitting our needs. Either they were too big or then too expensive. Why is it so hard to find luggage that isn't cabin size or very big extrasuperlarge size >_<

On thursday I went shopping with mom. She needed some plants (again) but for outside this time. I just went along because I didn't have anything to do lol.

And on friday we went to Helsinki book expo in Messukeskus, Pasila. My mom didn't want to check but couple stands so we ended up spending more time in food&wine fair side than in book expo. Although when we came in to book expo I immediately spotted Sammakkokustannus and went to check out what they had. I bought Mummo2 comic xD I like the style, it's so spontaneous, warm, funny and cozy. Those who understand finnish, I totally recommend this for you!!

So after walking around in book expo a bit we went to food&wine side. This year there weren't that many countries and different foods so I was kind of disappointed. But if you have sweet tooth you would have loved it in there; there were so many stands introducing different chocolates and candies! I couldn't resist and bought Lindor chocolates. Anyway, when we were checking out stands for a while we just decided to go to wine side for fun. My mom went ahead, there was security guards to guard the area so that under 18 years old wouldn't get in. So me and mom walked in side to side just talking and then suddenly security guard stopped me and asked me for my ID lol. I had to shout mom to wait a minute while I was getting my wallet to show my ID. My mom said she was so close saying "my girl is already 26 years old" :,D But it's their job to stop anyone who looks under 30 years old and people they think are under 18 years old. It was so funny because the security guard looked so serious and was staring me like "yeah you sure aren't 18" (I have noticed here in Finland that some people in customer service have that attitude when they think they surely have spotted and caught someone under 18 years old). So he looked my ID for few seconds, then went all flustered and gave me my ID back. It was funny because yeah it's his job to ask if they think I look under 30 and I understand that but they tend to get too cocky sometimes. I know I have kind of babyface and so for example in Alko I have my ID ready already when I go to cashier but still... yeah...

So after walking in wine area for a while we decided we're too hungry to concentrate on anything and went to one "street food" stand and ordered gyrios which is greek pita dish. It was very good but I topped it with homemade chili sauce and it was too spicy!! I thought that yay I can spice it up a bit and it was the most spiciest chili sauce I have ever tasted! Like oh.my.god. I didn't taste mayonnaise chili sauce that was this spicy even in Korea (where you can find things that makes your mouth burn lol). But I finished it like a boss lol.

Then we went to get free coffee, nespresso was having coffee tasting so I took mild Lungo coffee and it was actually good coffee coming from coffee machine made for homeuse.

After it we decided to browse couple more stands and spotted a cooking show where one of the MC's was celebrity cook Harri Syrjänen. After watching it couple minutes we felt we're already too tired so then we left for home. We were so tired in the evening, but it was fun day~

So today I have been packing and preparing and tomorrow will be going to London yay! Our flight leaves 7.40am =_= but going abroads yay! I'll be coming back on wednesday evening (actually it will be almost night).

Birthday parties and beauty fairs

Hello everyone!

I had such a busy week! Like monday to wednesday I was cleaning and doing stuff like planning my London trip. Then on thursday I had to be with my father when he went to get surgery on his hand. I was only one available that day from my family, without somebody to escort my father they wouldn't have let him leave hospital. So I went there with my father and it was practically an all day thing. We went 10am, my father got called in around 11am so I had some free time, I went to shopping mall near hospital to spend time (I even finally found pants what I've been searching for ages now lol). Went back before 3pm and my father was released after 3pm and we were home a little after 4pm. I had to drive home in my father's car... which was my first time driving it so it was pretty interesting xD I had to manage through rush hour traffic with a car that I've not driven before. But got home alive yay! And my father was telling me instructions all the time because I was panicking like "am I in right line" or "where do I go from here, is it ok to put this gear now" looool. It was 6-gear car and I've only driven 5-gears. So first time in Helsinki in serious traffic wasn't propably the best way to train with that car xD

On friday I went to iloveme -fair with Annina. I got free tickets from allergiatyyny.fi for writing a review for them. (I bought new pillow from Habitare from allergiatyyny).
It was a pity one segment was closed up from audience until saturday but we got to see lots still. I got alot of samples and made new interesting finds, companies that I've not heard about before. First we were just browsing cosmetics and skincare companies and what they had to offer and after that it just turned food fest to us lol. There were so many companies introducing new health foods and drinks! We tasted too much I think xD at some point we felt full even though we were tasting one spoonful from every company. So be careful when you're going to beauty & health fairs xD

Here's what I got from there. I'm propably doing review from products later when I've had time to try them~

In last photo I bought ziaja argan oil handcream and those nailpolishes but the others I got free. I will be testing them sometime soon.

I left messukeskus on friday about 3pm, I met my sister who lives in Pasila at railwaystation. Because my sister came to visit to celebrate my father's birthday. We got home and our aunt and uncle was already there. A little later my brother came to holidays from army so it was nice that we all were there, we gave my father a sweater and biotherm lotions as birthday present.

I was pretty tired after friday so on saturday I was just at home, lazy doing nothing :P And got a new haircut (well, same practically but a bit shorter, my hair tends to grow too fast). Today I had dance practice again and next week I'll have to skip it because I'll be going to London and our flight leaves at 7am.

Also, today was kind of stressful because kinetic vibe released B1A4 tickets. Eventually I got tickets for me and Linda so yay! But kinetic vibe has a bit strange system, they released general tickets today which everybody has to buy if wanting to go to concert at all and then they will release upgrade tickets next friday when you can buy for example early entry to your ticket to upgrade it. Me and my friends are going for early entry but don't know how it ends up because when I bought my general ticket from kinetic vibe site, it was lagging really hard and it took me 10 minutes to get the payment through. It will be pain if it's same when upgrade tickets are going online.

But anyways, I'm gonna see these guys in december;

They're one of the few kpop groups I actively listen. I actually saw their very first concert in Seoul 2012. So it's so nice to see them in my country now~

Carnival feel

Hi again~

I feel like I've been everywhere this week, I don't even realize how fast time goes. Also, weather has getting pretty cold, just yesterday it went -5c at evening o.o But this is Finland so xD

At start of this week I went shopping with my mom. My mom needed winter jacket, pants and winter shoes. I needed new autumn shoes since i don't have but two pairs of sneakers and one pair of nice leather shoes. Those are my favorite pair but they're going to brake soon (there's already small hole at the bottom >__<). Anyway we went to Jumbo, well actually we went to Tammisto first to Erätukku which is specialized for outdoor clothing. My mom bought pants and then we went to Jumbo where we browsed about two hours. My mom found winter jackets, I didn't find anything. I should find shoes that support really well because of my foot problems. But all shoes were very thin and didn't support foot that much. I was surprised how thin many of the shoe's soles were, those are going to wear out very fast. I'll just look pair from London then.

Did I ever tell in here that I'm going to London from 25th to 28th October~ I don't remember lol. Anyway, two weeks to go and I'm so excited to finally go to London again! I've been there three times and out of all cities in europe, London is my favorite.

Did I even ever mention which countries I have visited? I found this awesome site a while ago where you can list your every flight, it's called flight diary. That link is straight to my profile and there's all flights I've ever been on board. So almost all countries are also there excluding Estonia because I've always went there by ship. And couple times to Stockholm by ship. But anyway, that site is fun way to see how many flights you've been in your life and it also calculates for example the aircrafts you have used the most etc.

Ok, then back to this week again~ so yesterday I went to Linnanmäki valokarnevaali which translates to lightcarnival. So Linnanmäki is amusement park and they do this every year around October. With this they officially close the season (amusement park's season is from May until September in Finland). I went with Annina and I had so much fun. We went while it was dusk and it got dark pretty fast. I had to go to one ride, I just had to lol. Because last time I was at amusement park was 2013 in South-Korea in Lotte World. Somehow now when I've gotten older the amusement park season just goes by and then in fall you're like "oh maybe I should have visited once this summer to have a little bit fun." Anyway I went to Vuoristorata as in rollercoaster. It's one of the oldest rollercoasters in the world and it's classic~ one of my definite favorites in Linnanmäki so I just had to ride it once lol.

Last days at work and some stuff I did this week

Hello everyone~

This week has been melancholic yet fun for me. On monday I went to shopping with my mom, she was looking a birthday present for her friend so I just went there to help. In the end I ended up buying some Vicks soothing toner, vicks deodorant and got a free gift package of vicks sample. But I really needed toner... I have one half used which is from garnier but it wasn't that good. I will do review of vicks products later~

Tuesday and wednesday were my last workdays in wdfg. I was kind of melancholic because it has been weird thinking I won't be going to airport almost everyday anymore and I won't see my wonderful work collagues. But on the other hand I'm glad to get rid of that place, especially with opteam workers, their rules and all felt unfair. I won't go into details but I advice you this: think twice before applying to any company that rents workers to other companies.

On thursday I met with one of my ex-work collagues that I've known since my first official job and we had nice time eating, chatting and shopping a little. I spended a little money to skincare product again. Oops. I bought Body Shop acne prevention gel stick. I still haven't tried it so I have to review it later. I seriously have tried too many products to taking care of my skin which refuses to cooperate almost with every acne/pore prevention products... It's frustrating, I feel like just as I have gotten my skin better it starts to get worse again. I have the most annoying skintype ever. But apparently I'm good at hiding it with makeup because my mom said to me this week "your skin looks it is in more better condition now" and I was like "no mom, it's just makeup" lol. But even makeup won't cover all T_T

I'm kind of new to skincare and makeup actually. You wouldn't seriously believe compared to my age but I started using makeup only 6 years ago and skincare about 3 years ago. My skin has always been sensitive and I didn't even like putting makeup before. And sometimes I have to use less if my skin is in bad condition. But basically I still don't use that much makeup. My routine is that at morning when I have washed my face I apply serum (I use Lumene's for sensitive skin), then base (I use nature republic), then BB cream (I use Missha's one that they don't make anymore <_<) and lastly CC powder (again from lumene. It gives nice matte look). I don't use mascara very often because my eyes are really sensitive. Lipstick I don't like to use that much. I prefer natural look. My evening routine is washing face, applying cleansing cream (Biotherm, the pinkshade bottle), after washing face again, applying serum (now Biotherm blue therapy accelerated) and then applying toner. I have come to the conclusion that my face don't handle creams very well. Or I haven't found the right one. But everytime I have used serum+cream next morning my face is full of pores. And I have tried every kind of creams (even very expensive sensai and biotherm). Nothing is good <_<

Sometimes when I get many pores I have to leave bb cream out of my makeup. Anybody has same problems with skincare and makeup?
Sorry for very long talk about this subject xD

Yesterday I went to movies with my mom. We watched "The Intern" and I recommend it to anyone who wants to have some positive thoughts and enjoy a slice of life movie. And today I went to autumn market with Annina and tomorrow is dance practice so there goes my weekend. But I had fun at autumn market, I will post couple photos here~

Funny texts. Only finnish person will know :P p.s.this is chocolate

I bought lingonberry honey from the booth you see in middle photo. Lappi-hunaja is my favorite company to buy honey. They have some interesting tastes but this time it was first time I saw for example blueberry, cloudberry and lingonberry honey and last one was the most tasty so I had to buy it even though it was a little pricey (one small jar was 12€ x.x)

Going and going

Hi everyone and sorry about this blog silence =_=;; I've had so busy two weeks like work, work, going to some places, work again and doing stuff. So I've had no time to write my blog <_<

To be honest I don't remember much about last week... But I discovered two new things; kpop band called Day6 which are doing wonderful music, seriously made me consider buying their album. Maybe when I go to korea next time. I like this kind of easygoing band music, just my style~
And other is I found new Fazer Winter edition chocolate bar which is kind of christmassy (omg beware christmas things are coming) but I like to try new things so I had to buy it. The taste brings christmas memories so it was spot on from Fazer! Some of you, especially finnish might know that Fazer releases christmas edition chocolate bars which always comes to stores before christmas. Well, I didn't like those, there were too much spices in those but this winter edition is sooo good. There's almonds and cranberries and some spices like hint of ginger. Totally recommend to try it.

And here's couple songs from Day6, check them out~ I wouldn't even categorize them as kpop even though their company says it's kpop.

Congratulations:

Last week I also started new hobby, I'll attend dance practices on sundays. I was missing the time I was doing Oriental dance so I took course that is something very close in style to it; bollywood dance :P Today was second time and I like it very much, there's some same moves that they use in Oriental dance so I'm very happy~

This week has been going very fast. Monday and tuesday I was working. Then I went to eat+movies with Anniina on wednesday. We went to watch Inside out because Disney movies just are the best! It was funny, it started 6.45pm, teather was full and there were only adults lol. I enjoyed the movie very much, scriptwriter was genious! There were many jokes for adults also that children won't necessarily figure out xD

After that again I was working from thursday to saturday. I was soooo tired after my work. Especially thursday and friday were so busy I had no time to rest at all at work.
But next week are my last shifts, on tuesday and wednesday. Then I'll say goodbye to wdfg. I won't say much what happened why I didn't continue but I'm glad I said no thanks to new contract. One of the reasons were because they wanted to offer me 5th temporary contract with lower hours than now because "they can't guarantee there is more work" when there surely is! I've been with almost same contract for over a year now and it's always the same excuse... there's too much work actually and the company is missing people from shifts all the time but they do not want to hire us with more hours because then they would have to pay more etc. It's just ridiculous and this is just end of iceberg so I'm not going into details about the other reasons why I'm not continuing in there... Only thing I will miss is my coworkers, they're awesome!
But yay, no more that ugly work outfit. Seriously, it fits someone mediterranean but us finns look reeeeeeally anemic in it. We said thousand times this to the company but they don't care... See for yourself how unfitting it is for especially people with blond hair... (sorry I can't pose very well for camera):

Cosmetics and Habitare

I have so many things in this post so bear with me and my photos lol. I'll not do a seperate cosmetics recommendation this time, they are in the middle and end of my post because I have couple things to review.

So I had two cosmetics trainings this week, one which I already told you in my previous post and then on thursday I went to L'oreal luxe training which contained brands such as Lancome, Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Biotherm. We got to know what new interesting frangrances, make-up and skincare products are coming and how to recommend them. Armani is launching new men's fragrance and renewing one. Also, Armani code for women gets new look and brand new fragrance, Armani code satin. I have never liked Armani code but the satin was quite nice! I recommend to try it even if you haven't previously liked Armani code.

Lancome is bringing brand new La vie est belle l'eau de parfum intense and I recommend this if you like sweet frangrances. This reminded me a little of marshmallows, it is actually made based on one traditional french dessert. I didn't like La vie est belle series before, they were too strong for me but I would definetly now consider buying l'eau de parfum intense from a shop.

We also got to try Biotherm's new products like the Blue therapy accelerated serum and cream. Omg the serum, it was seriously light and it had a cooling effect. I fell in love instantly and totally gonna use my whole sample bottle lol. I hope my skin likes it, I had a little problem with Aquasource cream, I cannot use it because my skin got lots of pores after I tried it about 3 weeks T_T But I like Biotherm's products so let's hope for the best~ And the serum is by the way, most effective and _most cheapest_ serum available in stores!! Accelerated serum was tested by blind test with customers, using current leading serum that customers had rated as best against it.

Lancome is bringing one new mascara to stores which I tested already:

Lancome Hypnose volume-a-porter
Price: 32€ / $36
Where can you find it: for example kicks. I believe any big cosmetics store will have this in their selection.

I'm always a little reluctant to try new mascaras because my eyes are _really_ sensitive and I get symptoms very easy like eyes constantly watery and itchy when I apply mascara. But I decided to try this anyway because it's dermatology tested and it should not leave any lumps. I tried it and it was as Lancome promised; very light, I didn't feel I had mascara on at all and it didn't leave any lumps. It has subtle rose scent which is a nice addition. The mascara should make eyelashes thick but for me it just made my eyelashes stand out more with black color. Volume-a-porter is also the only Lancome mascara with 38C feature so that's very positive turn. It is very easy to apply thanks to greatly shaped brush and it washes away very easily so all in all I'm very happy with this. I'm going to continue using it. It's a bit pricey but hey, can't always get quality with cheap price.
I can also recommend this for those who has sensitive eyes. I doubt anyone can be more sensitive than me (from those "cheap" market mascaras, if I apply them, I get symptoms like in a minute).

Tracon and stuff

So last week went fast. On friday I was very nervous about upcoming Tracon so I slept like one hour or so. My friend Linda who came to Tracon with me, also slept an hour. The only one who was bright (I think) was my other friend Annina. Our concentration were so off that we had to ask each other to repeat some sentences. But anyway, when we arrived to Tracon we finally woke up 100% because the weather was so cold in the morning. Annina went to get her staff badge and went to her assigned place while me and Linda waited the doors open. So this year they apparently didn't take any small handluggage at cloakroom in Tampere talo like last year. So we had to make extra trip to close building to leave our luggage there for a while.

I actually have no idea what we did next, propably went to leave our stuff to Tracon fleemarket? I don't know I was so out of it lol. But fleemarket was so big this year! And I didn't know you could bring fantasy books and movies there... I would have totally brought mine to sell what I won't read/watch anymore. Oh well, next year then.

I think we went to shopping hall after that and my friend Annina got herself stationed at eatyourkimchi merchandise table :D Me and Linda immediately started to think what to buy lol. I ended up with scarf because I totally don't have enough of them (that's a lie) and I also bought couple badges. Linda bought a little more. Then we just looked other sales tables and drooled some accessories. I couldn't take my eyes off from the alpaca plushies lol. But 50€ for big one was too much =__= But I found small alpaca plushie and it was only 10€ so that one I could afford. It's nice turquose color, here's a photo of it and big plushie shelf:

So after that we went to sing karaoke with Linda because kpop songs :D Then I got message from Annina that she had spotted eatyourkimchi Simon and Martina near merchandise table so we hurried there and then saw them. It was like that oh.my.god moment when you meet someone you have watched only from videos for couple years. Linda luckily got more words outside than me, I was stuttering something like "I like your outfit today, your videos are awesome." And then we got photos with them. They're really awesome guys and really wanted to talk with people and take photos with them. Those who bash them as pretenders, I can say you they're the same on and off camera~

Apparently Simon was FF Tifa's ugly brother Tofa lol. And Martina so beautiful Sailor Moon.

After that we went to our hotel Holiday Inn Tampere central station. It was just opened couple days before and everything was new. And location was great! And you actually couldn't hear trains to inside at all even though tracks were right next to the hotel! So after we dropped our stuff we went to eat and then Linda had a meeting so we stopped at Tullintori. I left Linda there and visited asianmart at bottom floor. They sell all kinds of asian food and I found especially tasty limonade in there. Too bad I didn't have time to go there again in that weekend and buy more because I would totally had bought them all lol.
When I was done shopping some snacks I headed up to Tampere talo again. I just walked there around some time before meeting up with Linda again and we went to "älä pysähdy putkessa" panel which was about how Tracon was born and what to expect in the future. So nostalgic for us to see some photos about first Tracons (at that time I was 16 years old or something).
After that panel we were really tired so we did a quick stop to our hotel to change clothes and then headed to hunt a restaurant. We ended up in mcdonalds, wow so original lol.

At Sunday we ate so much at hotel breakfast because it was included in the price and then about 11am we left towards Tampere talo. Dropped our stuff to our car and I went to eatyourkimchi picnic where only 20 participants were picked by Tracon staff. And I was one of them so yay! We had so much fun and we ate too much lol. Then at the end of picnic we all took selcas with Simon and Martina. I won't post my selca because I basically look like a panda who's got not enough sleep.

After picnic I met with Linda, Laura and couple others and went to see eatyourkimchi panel *stalkstalk*. It was nice to hear stories about they living in korea for 7 years and how they have interest also to go to Japan.

Then it was time to leave. We met Annina outside and then left Tracon. Next year again without hard raining on car trip thanks~ (we basically drove 80/kmh in 120/kmh area half the way because it was raining so hard we could barely see anything).
