About last week

Last week was pretty quiet except for Saturday.

So last saturday I worked as part of Gloria's volunteer staff in History's concert. Here in my blog I'm going to tell only about my general work experience. If you expect to hear some juicy backstage stories etc. I have to disappoint you. I have professional attitude to every work I'll do and I'm very strict about keeping privacy of certain things.

Everyone who was working in there, knew somebody from staff (voluntary workers) or then were actually working there and getting paid. And all voluntary staff had been asked to work there, we didn't contact organiser or gloria ourselves. We got to hear that too many fans were trying to get inside to work there. I have to say to those who were sending too many messages; can you please control yourselves. Just because you're a fan you think it's ok to send billion messages to organisers begging to take you to work there. And the thought behind of all is that you could see the artist in backstage. Sorry to crash all dreams but it doesn't work that way AND you'll need a professional working attitude to work in a concert venue! You will not get anywhere by acting like you lose it every time the artist walks by. So if you know your favorite artist is coming to do concert, please stop harrassing the organisers with your messages! They will not look kindly upon fans who try to get to backstage by the excuse of asking to work in there.

My day wasn't very good to begin with, to be honest some staff treated us badly. I was there to work with couple friends and my job was to sell fan merch. And because of some fans tried to push themselves in as a staff there (by sending messages of "please let me work there"), some of actual staff showed bad attitude towards us from the start. I can partly understand that, it does not look very good if too many young looking girls are walking around in the venue. But we were still actually working there... and to avoid misunderstadnings they could have actually asked for example my age and what I'm doing in there because some of staff referred to me as "fangirl staff" or "that teen staff over there." I know I have a babyface and propably look like ordinary teen fan who got lucky and got inside through someone but misunderstandings could have been solved by just asking me with couple questions...

So my job was selling merch, I had my friend with me; she did all accounting. We were assigned to it because both of us has experience being sales assistants and handling money. Well, so has the other two volunteer workers xD but one of them were assigned to ticket selling and one was helping organiser. Because merch table was actually inside the venue hall we got to enjoy concert while selling fan merch. I have to say History boys were awesome, I wished I would have bought an actual ticket to watch :P But I have my Korean trip coming in a month so I have to save money. Anyway I was having good time watching concert behind merch table also. And we got good sales, every customer we got were great and no problems there :)

When concert ended we got no info when to pack things up. Meet&greet started a shortly after and during it we wondered if we should close now or not. We finally decided to close up when queue to m&g was almost finished. We were in a quite bad mood because we got no info, no official staff around who could answer our questions etc. So we decided to go up where propably over half of the staff was arranging m&g. I gave important things to head of staff when we found him and then we like were just saying that we're ready to leave when suddenly someone just grabs us and was like "go to line and go thank the artist" and all of us who volunteered were like what? And then suddenly I found myself shaking hands with History members and they said thank you to all staff individually. Because my day wasn't that good this brightened up my mood majorly! And after handshakes we got pushed into staff photo xD Whole time I was like what is even happening lol. And in that staff photo I have very confused facial expression, I almost look like somebody made me go into that photo by force xD I just want to say that History boys were sweet even though I didn't know the group before this concert. They were so down to earth and nice to fans and staff equally.

To finish this text I just want to say to those certain fans that please behave! Seriously. You're ruining other fans reputation. Do not send messages and harrass official staff and do not follow the artist around town, that's stalking. And it's especially NOT ok to look every opportunity you have to sneak to backstage and steal something that might've belonged to artist in question. I have been in concerts as a fan so I know how excited you get when you meet your favorite artist BUT it's still not ok to act like that...
And to some who might critizise me for saying this even though I got to work there; I actually got asked to work there instead of pushing myself in to work. And being unemployed I went there gladly. I'm tired of staying at home all the time so I was happy to get a chance to actually work and be useful. And just to say; they also confirmed from us that we're _not_ fans of History so it will not cause any problems (about how we act).

This week there is one winter market event in my town in saturday so I'm going there with a friend just to look. And then with my friend on sunday-monday night we're going to watch the Oscars :P yep, it's that time of a year again~ So at least something to look forward to.

Last week

Hi everyone~

I haven't had anything really special going on lately. Well, except last weekend.
On friday I went to movies to watch Deadpool with Annina. I actually liked it even though it was clearly directed to men xD I'm sometimes weird because I might prefer action over romance, so not girly :,D Before the movie we went to lunch and did a little shopping. I was saying to myself like mantra that "don't buy any cosmetics"..... well I bought anyway xD There was some really great deals! Like I got Cacharel's anais anais edt+body lotion package with only 15€. But after this I seriously reprimanded myself that now I have to refrain buying any cosmetics xD Because I'm going to korea in little over month and I know I'm going to buy soooooo many cosmetics from there (because there's quality products with cheap prices<3 ).

On Saturday I went to meet two of my friends I haven't seen for long time. They're leaving for Korea this week~ so we talked alot about travelling in Korea while we ate sushi :P
By the way I totally recommend this restaurant called Sushi House in Kerava. Usually sushi buffets are a little low in quality but this restaurant had great tasting sushi and many varieties! And there was some warm foods also included in buffet. And it was really affordable price; 9€/weekdays, 11€/weekends. Top of that, excellent customer service and modern looking interior.

14th was valentine's day and here in Finland we have a bit different meaning to it, it translates to friend's day. So in here besides couples celebrating, friends might celebrate too. I went to lunch with Annina and surprise surprise we ended up to that same sushi house restaurant I was the day before xD But it was soooo good! After lunch we just browsed shops a little bit and then decided to leave to home.

This week, well I'll tell about this week's weekend next week :P But I don't have anything special weekdays this week either :/ I'm just your normal bored unemployed person lol. I'm really fed up staying home =_=

Hello hello long time no see~

Sorry for being so quiet for awhile. It's just that there hasn't been that much happening in my life these few weeks :,D

Last week I went to movies on monday with my mom, we watched The Revenant. Let me say, do not spend your precious time for that movie; half of it was listening Leonardo DiCaprio breathing and walking in forest. I reeeeeally don't know why it got so many Oscar nominations, well maybe some people see something artistic in it. But for me it was plain boring.

On firday I finally got my Starlight package! To those who don't know, I'm a fan of one kpop group called VIXX. They're the only kpop group I actively follow and cheer on. I joined their official fanclub for second time (yes, official, in korea about every kpop group has official fanclubs) and got my fanclub package which contained my club card, photocard greetings and fluffy poncho. And VIXX's fanclub name is Starlight. And now because it's 3rd generation since first official fanclub opening, we are called Starlight3 (별셋). There are different benefits belonging to official fanclubs but I won't explain it here :P

Here's couple songs from VIXX so you'll know what they're about:

Last Sunday I went to chinese new year event in Helsinki with Linda. It was fun! First we watched couple chinese traditional dance performances and then we browsed through different booths selling either food or chinese stuff like chinese knots and chopsticks. We bought dumplings and chicken to eat, was delicious! I also bought monkey plushie which is very cute<3

After browsing we decided to head to Steam coffee kaisaniemenkatu which is one of my favorite cafes in Helsinki. I ordered matcha latte which is basically a green tea latte. I fell in love with green tea latte while I was in Korea and the latte in Steam coffee has pretty similar taste so I can recommend it to all who like green tea latte :) I also ate my first laskiaispulla (shrove bun) this year :P because here in Finland it was shrove sunday.

One of Linda's friends joined us after awhile. We were pretty much just spending time talking while waiting fireworks event to start. Finnair sponsored fireworks to chinese new year event and it started a little after 6pm. It was arranged in Töölönlahti bay and even though weather was really cloudy and foggy we still enjoyed the fireworks!
